Running debian trixie/sid, 6.12.11-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.12.11-1 (2025-01-25) x86_64 GNU/Linux

This is a Lenovo X1 laptop, approximately 2021 - has been running Debian testing since it was new.

With today's dist-upgrade, the system no longer sees the built-in microphone:

Code:

root@madison:/etc/modprobe.d# dmesg | grep snd[ 5.554114] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: Digital mics found on Skylake+ platform, using SOF driver[ 6.364850] snd_hda_codec_realtek ehdaudio0D0: autoconfig for ALC287: line_outs=2 (0x14/0x17/0x0/0x0/0x0) type:speaker[ 6.364854] snd_hda_codec_realtek ehdaudio0D0: speaker_outs=0 (0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0)[ 6.364855] snd_hda_codec_realtek ehdaudio0D0: hp_outs=1 (0x21/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0)[ 6.364857] snd_hda_codec_realtek ehdaudio0D0: mono: mono_out=0x0[ 6.364858] snd_hda_codec_realtek ehdaudio0D0: inputs:[ 6.364859] snd_hda_codec_realtek ehdaudio0D0: Mic=0x19
I have tried the suggestion at viewtopic.php?p=772006#p772006 to create the micfix.conf with options, but that made no difference. I have also tried using via modprobe the snd_hda_intel module but with no result.

What else should I be trying?

Thanks.
