>And there is a setting "Recent Files" under "Workspace Behaviour" where "Remember opened documents" can be disabled.
On and doesn't work. places --> frequently used -->
>In settings you have the Activities as sunrat already wrote. There you can change the default activity or create a new and change to "do not track".
Again, you are pointing out the file you don't want to track. A BIG SIGN ON YOUR SYSTEM - this file should be viewed.
Stop all recording of any activity on your system is the better idea. Kmouth doesn't keep any data when you exit. Simple, set all apps to "do not save recent files". Doing it one app at time is impractical.
Just compile all apps that have recent files to null saving recent files. Some linux os do just this. There is no reason to have recent files, none! I just click on the file I want to use. The next version of KDE needs this privacy option. I may need to find a more privacy friendly desktop.
>PS: For me with these settings enabled the files accessed with Dolphin are no more shown in recent files, but an entry is still created in ~/.local/share/kactivitymanagerd/resources/database
Will locking write block on 'database' fix the problem?
>If you are really afraid of someone could find your private documents or traces of it's filenames I think the best solution would be to have an encrypted filesystem.
I'll need to do some research on that.
