I've ordered this WLAN/Bluetooth chip module because I wanted to upgrade my notebook's wifi support from WiFi 5 to WiFi 6E. And my Killer module has been problematic sometimes. I know there are WiFi 7 modules, but i dont need that. My understanding is that this chip uses the CNVio2 interface rather than PCIe, and it also requires a 12th gen or newer Intel CPU, which I have. The "key" slot also matches what I have. I'm certain that it will work in Windows 11, but i'm wondering about Debian support, or Linux generally. Any need to manually install firmware/drivers? Or it should "just work" without any extra steps?
I was going to go for the Intel AX211, but I found numerous posts comparing it to the AX411, and most concluded that the AX411 is the better of the 2, and overall a very good module to get as an upgrade, as long as the host PC meets all the hardware requirements.
